Saturday, March 21, 2015 - The Sacramento Australian Football Club will be giving local footy enthusiasts more opportunities to play than ever before in 2015!
The Sacramento Australian Football League (SacAFL) is the local TACKLE version of Aussie Rules and is typically played with 10-a-side games. There are separate women's and men's leagues and new players are most certainly welcome!
Instead of playing one long footy season the year will be divided into two seasons:
Both seasons will also be preceded by an open day and scrimmage to give new players the chance to try the game out before the season begins.
All games will be played at Doc Oliver Baseball Field in Land Park between 10am and 1pm.
Players may now register at the Early Bird rate for the 2015 SacFooty Spring League beginning April 16. Early Bird registration closes April 2.
Sacfooty is a co-ed, minimal contact version of Aussie Rules, perfect for new players to try out the game.

Wednesday, December 31, 2014 - Happy New Year to all our members and supporters!
2014 was a fantastic year for the Sacramento Australian Football Club with the club securing its first ever USAFL National Championship, in Division 3, among many other achievements.
Much of the success can attributed to out-going President Saleh Tyebjee and the 2014 SAFC Board. Thank-you to Saleh for his efforts over the last three years and thank-you also to Erin Sheaffer, Sarah Brown and Chauncey Onyon who have also stepped down from board roles during or at the end of the year.
2015 could be bigger and better yet with the new board appointed. Five, of eight, board members appointed are female indicating the future of women's footy in Sacramento is bright.
Sunday, October 12, 2014 - The Sacramento Suns, the local men’s Australian Football team, defeated a valiant Philadelphia Hawks to win the USAFL National Title for Division 3 in Dublin, Ohio, in only their third tournament.
